Techstars Startup Week Detroit 2018

When it comes to education achievement, Michigan students of all races and income levels are near the bottom of the pack, when compared with their peers in other states. We can’t rely on “business-as-usual” to fundamentally improve outcomes for our students, so an innovative approach must be taken to rethink schooling for a new generation of learners. During this session, participants will dive into case studies from other cities to serve as inspiration, and then participate in a “design sprint” to reimagine the educational landscape in Detroit.
