AUBREY C. AGEE II is heading up this year's Detroit Startup Week's 24 hour hackathon, DHack 2018. Aubrey has led the last two annual hackathons associated with DSW. DSW’s hackathons have brought together computer programmers, designers and entrepreneurs to build mobile apps, websites, drones and other IoT devices over a 24 hour time period. All levels of experience are welcomed and ages 11 and up can participate.
Aubrey is a co-founder of trainX.ai and is responsible for business development and strategic partnerships. trainX.ai (aka trainX) is making tomorrow’s technology accessible to metro Detroiters today. trainX is determined to grow and empower individuals of color to build up their technical and professional skill sets in the artificial intelligence industry. We are launching our second artificial training cohort in August. Our focus will be to train, coach, and empower cohort members in AI technologies: Spark, TensorFlow, Python, and Zeppelin. Our cohort will be intense and will take place over 6 weeks, we will meet 3 times a week at 3 hours a session with an additional weekly lab.
Aubrey is also currently launching the Community Knowledge Incubator (CKI) within the Wayne State University’s Library System. CKI will be the direct pipeline of practiced professional, academic and social justice to tackle societal issues collaboratively. The mission is to bring all walks of knowledge through community engagement and foster an environment of empowerment and action in bettering WSU student, community and society. Aubrey has spent 13 years in the entrepreneurial support space by launching varying industry ventures, organizing training and creating tech hackathons. From 2011 to 2018 Aubrey was the Director of Innovation Warriors at Wayne State University.
